NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the attached application for a rear setback variance for a convenience store and a sign setback variance for the convenience store will be heard by the Board of Zoning Appeals in the Second Floor Conference Room 2 in the City of Portage Municipal Building, located at 115 West Pleasant Street, Portage, Wisconsin at 5:15 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2018.

1. The application for Lakhbir Singh, Parcel # 500, 601 E. Wisconsin Street, Portage Columbia County, Wisconsin for variance to Chapter 90; Article II, Section 90-36 (5) to allow minimum rear setback of 5 feet for a convenience store. A variance of 15 feet from the required minimum rear set back of 20 feet for principal structures. The property is zoned B-4 General Business district.

Said variance would permit a principle structure to be within 5 feet of the rear setback, a variance of 15 feet. The minimum rear setback is 20 feet at 601 E. Wisconsin Street.

2. The application for Lakhbir Singh, Parcel # 500, 601 East Wisconsin Street, Portage Columbia County, Wisconsin for variance to Chapter 90; Article II, Section 90-36 (5) to allow minimum front street side setback of 0 feet and a minimum side setback of 5 feet for a ground sign . A variance of 20 feet from the required minimum front street side set back of 20 feet, and a variance of 5 feet from the required minimum side setback of 10 feet for signs. The property is zoned B-4 General Business district.

Said variance would permit a ground sign to be within 5 feet of the side setback, a variance of 5 feet, and to be within 0 feet of the front street side setback, a variance of 20 feet. The minimum front setback is 20 ft and the minimum side setback is 10 feet for ground signs at 601 E. Wisconsin Street.
