USH-51 Reconstruction

Reminder, the City of Portage will be reconstructing W. Wisconsin Street, from Pleasant Street to W. Edgewater Street over the next few months. Beginning May 5th, 2025, the roadway of W. Wisconsin Street will be closed from Pleasant to Edgewater.
In addition to the road closure, the City will also be closing the alleyway between W. Conant Street and W. Pleasant Street from W. Wisconsin to Clark Street to through traffic during the construction project. Any mail drop off typically taking place within the alleyway can be brought to any of the other USPS drop offs located at the following locations:
- Northridge Shopping Center
- Cochrane Court
- United States Postal Office – Front
