E. Pleasant St Reconstruction

The City of Portage will be reconstructing E. Pleasant Street from Dewitt Street to Hamilton Street beginning the week of June 15^th, 2026. Work will include the replacement of water and sewer utilities along this roadway as well as asphalt pavement. Work will continue through late summer/early fall. During construction E. Pleasant Street from Dewitt to Hamilton will be closed to through traffic.

The City will be hosting a Public Informational Meeting on June 10^th from 5:00PM to 6:00PM for members of the public affected by the construction to ask questions related to the project. The City appreciates everyone’s patience and indulgence during the construction project.

UPDATE 6/11/2026: Work on the E. Pleasant Street Reconstruction project has been pushed to begin the week of June 29^th, in lieu of the week the 15^th. We apologize for the inconvenience.
